WHY: The Recreation Wish List Committee (RWLC) of Washington, DC was founded in 1995 by Cora Masters Barry and is committed to providing quality athletic and learning enrichment programs for the children of the District of Columbia. Under the leadership of its Board of Directors, the RWLC brings together public and private resources to support the programs and facilities of DC Departments of Parks and Recreation. The RWLC has resurfaced deteriorated ball fields, installed computer labs, equipped run-down playgrounds, renovated neglected recreation centers, and have built the most prestigious state of the art Tennis and Learning facility in the country, The Southeast Tennis and Learning Center (STLC) in Washington, DC.
