Omarosa Manigault Stallworth to Host the Miss District
of Columbia USA Pageant
Saturday November 27, 2004 at 7 PM.
While a student at Howard University Omarosa, now of Apprentice
fame, was a finalist in the Miss District of Columbia pageant. She
now returns to the pageant this Saturday, as a host. Omarosa, known
for her ability to hold her own against Donald Trump on his NBC
hit show the Apprentice, has been involved in the Miss USA pageant
system for many years.
“As host of the this year’s pageant I hope to bring
a vast knowledge of pageantry as well as a very unique and entertaining
perspective to the event”, says Omarosa who first became involved
in the pageant as a contestant, after getting married to husband
Aaron she volunteered for Director Althea Smith, and later she became
a pageant coach for titleholders in preparation for their appearance
at the nationals.
The delegates will compete in three categories including; swimsuit,
evening gown and interviewing. The Washington Redskinettes and the
DC Show Biz Dancers are featured performers in this year’s
competition. The winner of the Miss DC USA will go on to compete
for the title of Miss USA in March 2005.
Omarosa is very excited that the Trump organization has decided
to bring the nationals to our area. “The winner of the DC
pageant will be going just up the road to Baltimore to compete for
the title of Miss USA. With all of her hometown support we could
have another winner like Shauntay Hinton, Miss USA 2001.”
Since Omarosa’s first pageant she has had an insatiable passion
for pageantry. She has competed successfully in all major pageant
systems including Miss USA, Miss America, Mrs. America and Mrs.
United States. In 2001, Omarosa was a top ten finalist at the Mrs.
United States pageant representing the District of Columbia. As
an international pageant trainer she has successfully coached Miss
USA, Miss Guyana and Miss Taiwan.
